Poll

Well it looks like Mickey Mouse beet out Barrack Obama and Hillary Clinton. 5-0-0. Good job Mickey! The new poll has to do with what I’ve been learning about in physics. Is a glass of water more valuable or a glass of diamonds? Post what you voted for and why below.

It all depends. If you are dying in the desert, it's all about the water. However, if someone gave me a glass of diamonds right now, I'd be thrilled.

Water. Water can preserve life - diamonds are cold, hard and lifeless. Diamonds produce war, bloodshed, covetousness, arrogance, and many other evils. Diamonds are bad. They're pretty too. Makes them twice as bad. Kind of like a strange woman. Can I have a glass of water?

Interesting. According to economics, it depends on your situation like Elizabeth says. But I like your response, too, Paul. Hmmm… this economics class is fun to get to see why people choose what they choose.

I choose the diamonds, cause then I could buy the water or whatever else I wanted. Though I do totally agree with elizabeth.

what in the world would diamonds do for you on a hot afternoon after runing around in the sun for an hour? if i could have one or the other by itself for a day, i'd take the water. of course, you could buy water with the money from the diamonds, but in itself, a diamond cut is not as valuable as water

so of course, i chose water

Ya know Trev if you have dial up and you open your flickr page all of your captions come in first, one of which is "taking a bath" you scared me REALLY bad on that one.

I think it really depends on the situation Jef. Wether your thirsty or dirt poor. This economics class has actually been fun.

lol Ian. I try.

good point trevor. :p i think i'd have a hard time choosing the water over the diamonds if i was chalk full of the stuff. :p

Without normality randomness would be normal, so what would be random?

Isaacme said...

normality

So maybe we just look at things backwards, maybe normality is random and randomness is normal.

I cannot believe you put someone from the princess diaries on the poll. I haven't seen the Pirates so I don't feel like i can vote for Jack so I vote for Dory.

What's wrong with you ian? You haven't seen the Pirates of the Caribbean movies? YIKES!

Hey, talk to Trev. it takes awhile for my family to get to movies. My parents are VERY careful about what they let me watch, it took over a year to get them to let me watch LOTR. Pirates will take quite a while longer.

Nicole, this is a family that returned Ratatouille

Hey, I've seen Enchanted, and I will see Caspian in May most likely.

AND I've been to a theatre THREE times in my life (impressive right?) Oh I also saw National Treasure 2, and that's not even out on DVD yet.

Aidyn Nicole said...

Yikes! I went to the first Pirates of the Caribbean two or three times in theater.

Anonymous said...

And did it end differently the second or third time you went?

BTW THIS IS THE 20th COMMENT. is that a record of some kind?

Isaacme said...

I think it might be.

Trev. Shame on you you just broke my record. :P
